As previously reported by KNIA/KRLS News, a Knoxville School employee has been suspended with pay amidst allegations of improper conduct with a high school student. According to police reports, the alleged incidents took place at the school and at a home with an address in Carlisle matching that of Knoxville Football Coach and PE Teacher Troy Rider. Knoxville School Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack says at this time, the district is cooperating with the Knoxville Police Department in the investigation of the alleged incident. Dr. Flack says (quote) “our primary concern is the safety of our students. During the course of the investigation the employee accused of misconduct is on paid administrative leave.” Police say the investigation could take days or weeks.
