Knoxville’s School Board met Monday. The elementary and middle school principals opened the evening with a presentation on the Positive Behavior Intervention Support (or PBIS) program, and how it encourages the kids to “Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Responsible.” Board members Tim McDonald and Mike Moats and Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack discussed the high school energy project after a meeting this past week addressing the issues at the high school. Business Manager Craig Mobley addressed the board regarding a contract for printer and copier services with Premier 360 for lease and maintenance services. A motion was made to approve the contract, and it passed by a vote of 4-0. Dr. Flack talked about meetings with city personnel about the use of part of the old East Elementary building for senior citizens programs and services. GOAL uses the north section of the building, and he says the gym is used, but there is open space available.
