Knoxville’s Public Library Director Roslin Thompson says this is the last week to go on a blind date with a book. The library is celebrating Library Lover’s Month, and Thompson says the staff has wrapped books in brown paper which readers can check out, read, and rate on a scale of one to five hearts. She says those names are then entered in a drawing for a gift basket, which includes a box of chocolates and other items donated by library staff. Readers of all ages can also write “Why I Love My Library” on a heart-shaped piece of paper available at the front desk to be entered into the drawing. Thompson says the drawing will be before 10 Friday morning, and the library opens at 10. Readers are invited to participate and enter the drawing through close of business Thursday.
