After a second place finish that came down to the final event at last year’s state meet, the Knoxville Boys Track and Field Squad have quite an act to follow. But they will try to duplicate or even move one notch higher this season. Head Coach Mike Cunningham the Second tells KNIA/KRLS Sports it all starts with the sprinters and one in particular, Tanner Dunkin who will be counted on to score a lot of points for the Panthers. C2 says the sprinters and hurdlers especially in 400 meters and below should be pretty solid. He adds Justin Karnes, Jerry Nichols, and Bryce Zoutte are his main hurdlers. He tells KNIA/KRLS Sports Nolan Wallace has gone out for track this season and can fit in on the hurdle events.
