Five park benches have been sponsored for Knoxville’s Young’s Park Miracle Playground, and Friday morning, several volunteers were gathered at Creative Landscaping, assembling the benches. Ernie Smith, with Knoxville Morning Kiwanis, says the benches have been placed at each donor site, including Iowa State Savings Bank, the Chamber of Commerce, Knoxville Hospital and Clinics, Edward D. Jones Investments and at McDonald’s, until it’s time to install them at the park. The park is set on 11 acres on the west side of Knoxville, near the soccer complex, and will be handicap accessible for children ages 2-12.
