The Marion County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday morning. The board approved the 28E agreement between the City of Knoxville and Marion County for dispatch and communication services, which Knoxville’s City Council approved last week. The board also approved a resolution for the County Engineer’s office to apply for Iowa DOT traffic safety funds for a Highway G28 traffic safety improvement program application. This project proposes to widen and pave the shoulders along G28 between highway 14 and T15, and add rumble strips along the highway. The board also formally adopted the Secondary Roads Departments five year construction plan, and fiscal year 15 Iowa DOT budget.
