Red Rock Park Ranger Tracey Spry, tells KNIA/KRLS News that there are still several open volunteer positions at the lake. She says there are a wide variety of ways to help, but the most popular each year is tending to a certain area of the park, in exchange for a camping site. She adds that many of the tasks required are simple, and don’t take much time to complete, allowing the volunteers to come and go as they please. She says many of the volunteers are snow birds that like to hook up a camper or RV at the lake for the summer, but other younger volunteers will work in Marion County and commute back and forth from the lake.
