At this week’s Knoxville School Board meeting, the Board approved the 2014-2015 fiscal year budget. Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack tells KNIA KRLS News that the tax rate that was approved by the board is slightly lower than last year, and was set at $14.94 per thousand. He says the budget is a maximum budget, in case there are unexpected expenditures or emergency situations that come up through the school year.
