From 10 to 3 today, Knoxville is celebrating Iowa Flag Day. Chamber Director Larissa Van Donselaar says there will be food, 1921-era activities, a mustache contest for the guys, a celebrity pie auction, a cake walk – and a pie-in-the-face, with several local celebrities taking the hit. There will be much more for the whole family to enjoy, and the Daughters of the American Revolution will have a display at the Dixie Gebhardt House. All activities will take place along Montgomery Street in front of the library, and part of Second Street.
