Bail for Nyran T. Chohan, 19 of Pella, was reduced in Marion County Court yesterday. Originally $30,000, a bail reduction request was approved and he was released on $10,000 bond. Chohan is also required to wear a GPS tracking device upon his release from jail, and he turned in his passport to the Clerk of Court in Marion County. Chohan is charged with three counts of Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree. The three counts of Sexual Abuse involved three separate individuals, two of which are 12 or 13 years of age, and the third is 14 or 15 years of age, and at least four years the minor of the defendant. Chohan’s pretrial meeting is scheduled for July 18th.
