Next week both the Pella and Knoxville Public Libraries will give patrons an opportunity to pay off some fines while helping a good cause. To celebrate National Library Week, both will accept non-perishable food items throughout the week, each item valued at a dollar worth of fines, up to five dollars. All items will be donated within Marion County, Pella Library Director Wendy Street says almost everybody, including herself, has late dues at the library. On Friday the 18th, Knoxville will also have a comedy show at the library that is free and open to all ages.
