Friends of the Melcher-Dallas Public Library will host a dance Saturday night at the Community Center, with music performed by The Hortons, a family band from Humeston. Librarian Lori Davis tells KNIA KRLS News that the event will be family-friendly. She says this event is part of an ongoing fundraising effort for the library expansion project. The plan is to move the current library to a larger building on the west side of the square, which will more than triple the square footage of library space. Davis says she is running out of space in the current building, and she wants the library and the community to continue to grow and improve.

Davis says admission is $5 per person; children 10 and under are free. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
