16 trees along the Molengracht Canal were removed yesterday afternoon by the Pella Parks Department. Department Manager Chandler Nunnikhoven tells KNIA/KRLS News that they expect to have new trees, including Little Leaf Linden, Maples, Boxwood and a variety of others delivered on Wednesday and planted by Friday. He says the previous trees were all damaged, dead, or dying and needed to be replaced. He adds that if everything goes to plan, they will power wash the canal on Monday and paint the bridge early next week as well.
