The Tulip Time Steering Committee will host their annual Dutch Baking Contest this evening, at the Steerenburg Library at the Pella Historical Village. Contest entry begins at 5:15. This year’s features are Dutch Meatball Soup and/or Olie Bollen – or Vet Bollen. Bonnie Verburg, with the Committee, tells KNIA/KRLS that entrants should bring along a recipe and any other information they’d like to share. Celebrity judging will begin at 6:30, and the public is welcome. Verburg adds that this is the first official event of Tulip Time Week.
