The grandstand events of Tulip Time kick off with the annual coronation of the queen.

Leah Blankespoor was officially coronated as the Tulip Queen Thursday afternoon. Another presentation of the royal court takes place Friday and Saturday at the grandstand. The coronation ceremony was followed by traditional dutch dance and the Volks Parade.
