The Knoxville Shooting Club has 51 members this year. Head Coach Ryan Hardman says this is a sport much like other sports, because it teaches discipline, has a code of conduct, and gets kids involved in a team setting. Hardman says it’s different, also, because everybody participates, and every member is equally capable of winning a medal for their skill. This Saturday, the Knoxville, Pella and Pella Christian clubs will participate in a meet at the Marion County Sportsmen’s Club, at 1702 Old Highway 92 East, just east of Knoxville. Hardman says this is just the second year for Knoxville’s team, and the meet will begin at 8.
