Spring is here, the weather is warmer, and it’s time to get the lawn mowed. Knoxville’s Community Service Officer, Arlene Worrall tells KNIA KRLS News that there are city codes regarding lawn care. She says grass and weeds cannot be taller than 8 inches in Knoxville, and when mowed, the clippings cannot be blown into the street. If it’s not mowed, the City will send a letter to the property owner, with a notification it must be done within 7 days. If the City is dispatched to take care of it, the property owner will be assessed for the cost. Call the Knoxville Police Department at 828-0541, with any questions or concerns. We’ll have more from Worrall this coming Monday, on Let’s Talk Knoxville.
