Knitters and crocheters are invited to bring their needles and yarn to help make baby cocoons to include in gift bags for newborns at Pella Regional. Pella Regional Health Center’s Auxiliary is hosting a “Knit-In and Crochet-In” event on Friday at the hospital from 9 a.m to noon. The Auxiliary provided a blanket and hat to 413 babies in 2013, but will make cocoons instead because of an increase in cost to buy flannel for blankets. Those who want to attend Friday morning should check in at the front desk of Pella Regional Health Center at the main entrance on Jefferson Street.
