The Pella Library is closing for repairs this week. The library is closed all day Thursday and Friday. Library Director Wendy Street says that crews will perform mudjacking on three different areas of the building where the floors have settled. Mudjacking consists of pumping a mixture of water, soil, sand, and cement underneath a settling slab of concrete to lift and stabilize it. The library is expected to reopen at 10 a.m. for their regular hours on Saturday.
