The third wave of a study that surveys the quality of life in small town Iowa will be looking to hear from select residents in two area cities. Monroe and Pleasantville have been selected for the third time to participate in the study conducted by Iowa State University. Within the next two weeks, researchers will contact randomly selected households in Monroe and Pleasantville by mail and ask a designated adult in the household to participate in the study. Each person who receives a survey represents 20 to 35 other residents in his or her town. The first two waves of the study took place in 1994 and 2004.
