A gas leak caused the evacuation of City Hall just before 10 yesterday morning. Knoxville Fire and Rescue and Knoxville Police responded to the scene. Alliant Energy was called as well. Knoxville Fire Chief Jim Mitchell tells KNIA KRLS News that an oven in the Senior Center had a leak, and that Dawn Allspach-Kline plans to have the oven repaired and it should be in working order soon. Nobody was injured in the incident.
