Area gardeners are selling plants on Saturday to raise funds for a local charity. For the second year in a row, Marion County Master Gardeners will host a plant sale benefiting Habitat for Humanity of Marion County at Saturday’s Pella Farmer’s Market. Last year, the sale raised nearly $500, and this year, Karen Ackley with the Master Gardeners hopes to top that number. She says there will likely be a wide variety to choose from. More than 20 Master Gardeners will donate hundreds of plants dug from their own gardens to raise the funds. The Pella Farmer’s market is this Saturday in the parking lot of First Reformed Church.
