The Belle Fountaine Cemetery is situated on 15 acres near Tracy, and was the site of a Memorial Day service and a veteran’s monument dedication that has been a year and a half in the making. Joyce Conner, from New Sharon, says the memorial includes 198 names, including a soldier from the War of 1812 and a Civil War confederate veteran. More than 250 people gathered to witness the dedication Monday morning, which included a veteran’s roll call for those buried at Belle Fountaine.
