The Marion County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday. Sheriff Jason Sandholt opened the meeting by recognizing Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson, and presenting Anderson with a Certificate of Professionalism from the Iowa Emergency Management Association. Business items included approval of a Marion County budget amendment and an amendment to a zoning ordinance regarding mobile home foundations and another relating to the construction of accessory buildings. Both changes will make Marion County less restrictive than the State of Iowa, as per Iowa law. The final item was an approval to relocate the courthouse server, which will require some remodel work to be done.
