Pella Schools and Larson and Larson construction broke ground on the new Pella Career Academy building. A formal ceremony was held Thursday afternoon near the band tower north of Pella High School. Representatives from Pella Christian, DMACC, Central College, Vermeer, Pella Regional Health Center, and the Pella Police Department were all on hand for the ceremony. The new building will hold new agriculture and technology courses as well as college credits from DMACC and Central College. Construction on the Career Academy is slated to begin in early June.
