Knoxville’s City-Wide clean up week begins Monday morning, and Assistant City Manager Dylan Feik tells KNIA KRLS News that all items for pickup must be placed at the curb before 7 am Monday. He says the clean-up will happen in phases. Midwest Sanitation will come by with a truck with a large arm to pick up the bigger items, then they’ll send around smaller trucks to load up the rest, and finally a sweeper will clean the streets. The City reminds Knoxville residents that this first clean up week will likely be messy and will take some time, and they ask for patience from all residents.
