Knoxville’s City Council met Monday evening. Council discussed Streetscape marketing. A motion was made to continue the marketing campaign, for an amount not to exceed $20,500. City Manager Harold Stewart reports that just under half of the city wide clean up was completed Monday. He said Midwest Sanitation reports the southwest quadrant of the city was completed, and part of the southeast quadrant, and 39 tons of debris was picked up. Stewart said the project is expected to wrap up Wednesday. He adds that if any items have orange stickers on them, they are not eligible for pickup. Anything left is the property owner’s responsibility to clean up.
