This weekend is the fourth annual Pleasantville Pig-Out. Brandon Bingham, from Pleasantville, helps coordinate the event, and says the whole weekend is geared toward supporting the Chamber of Commerce, and the Parks and Recreation Department in Pleasantville, which he says is a unique thing to a town the size of Pleasantville, with a population of just 1500. This year, the events kick off Friday night at 5:30 with a meal, kids games, music and an eating contest. Saturday, the gates open at 10 am for the barbecue contest, a car show and kids’ activities, all for a free-will donation. We’ll have more from Bingham on Thursday during Let’s Talk Knoxville.
