A Pella Man has pleaded not guilty on 12 counts of enticing a minor. 54-year-old Bennie Cross was arrested on May 22nd. During a joint investigation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, an officer portraying a fifteen year old female conducted online conversations with Cross from April 6 to May 22nd. Police say during these conversations Cross attempted to entice what he believed to be a fifteen-year-old female to meet him at a pre-arranged location for sex. He was originally supposed to enter an open arraignment in court today, but instead signed a written arraignment late last week.
