The Knoxville Lions’ Community Pride Avenue of Flags project is receiving community support. Ladd Montegna, with the Lions, tells KNIA KRLS News that Thompson Auto raised $800 toward the project, by pledging a nickel for every gallon of gas sold. This donation comes on the heels of a $758 donation from Raceway Tire. Montegna says that in recognition of their 10 year anniversary, Randy and Sheryl Chambers with Knoxville Iowa Realty, pledged a dollar for each signature in their open house guest book, and he says the corporate office matched the donation. The flags will fly again this weekend, in honor of Flag Day.

Montegna says the Lions want to thank Thompson Auto, Raceway Tire and Randy & Sheryl Chambers with Iowa Realty for their help with this project.
