The seniors that comprised the 2013-14 Central men’s basketball will be sorely missed when ’14-’15 starts up in a few months. They helped guide a team to their first NCAA tournament win since 1991 and only their third Iowa Conference championship in the last 20 years. Coach Craig Douma says that the amount of time the seniors put in to making this program as successful as it was this past year is now a benchmark for future athletes. Central went 21 – 8 overall and lost two four-year letterwinners and a total of five seniors from their varsity squad, four of whom were starters.
