A total of 30 hits were racked up by Twin Cedars’ and Melcher-Dallas’ softball players last night, but it was the Sabers that ended up with the win, 9 – 5. The Sabers had 18 of those knocks, including four from Brittney Roby, three of which were for two bases. Bailey Zellmer had three hits, and five other Sabers had two hits. Mackenzie Suntken for the Saints was 3-for-4 at the plate with two stolen bases, and Jessica Anderson also had a pair of hits. Melcher-Dallas drops to 8 – 9 on the year while Twin Cedars surges to 8 – 5. The Sabers play Davis County and the Saints are at Lamoni.
