The Marion County Board of Supervisors met yesterday. The Supervisors approved the departmental appropriation of expense monies as budgeted for the fiscal year 15 as well as the new Marion County mileage reimbursment rate of 56 cents per mile. The Board also discussed the relocation of the Freedom Rock to Young’s Park and set the date for the Knoxville Craft and Vendor Fair for August 9. Two appointments for the Marion county Development Commission were confirmed, Kelly Mitchell and Sandra Agan will continue their terms, ending in 2017. Discussion for updates to the Swan Bridge on Coolidge Street were limited due to questioning on whether the bridge is Marion County’s or owned by the railroads.
