The City of Pella will be down a car in its fleet after a patrol vehicle was involved in an accident Wednesday evening. Police say a motorist did not notice a stop sign at the corner of East 1st Street and Union Street, and hit a Pella PD vehicle near the rear-end of the driver’s side door a little after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Pella Police Chief Robert Bokinsky says that they have to determine the amount of damage to the vehicle before considering their options for repairs or replacement. No injuries were reported.
