Severe storms in the area dropped 1.56 inches in Knoxville, and 1.87 inches in Pella on Monday. The normal rainfall amount is 4.97 inches for the area. Precipitation totals year to date are above normal as well; average is 18.24 inches, and Marion County has seen just over 22 inches. Historically, the record high amount of rain for the month of June was 13.80 inches in 2010. The record low was just 3 tenths in 1992.
