Despite more than 8 inches of rain in the month of June, Knoxville’s Streetscape project is right on time. Assistant City Manager Dylan Feik tells KNIA KRLS News that the intersection of Main and Third has a very complicated sewer and water system, which has been somewhat difficult to work on because the soil is very wet. He says Third Street storm sewers are all in place, and the manholes are mostly in place as well. This week, sewer main installation will take place along Third. He says within the next three weeks, all of the underground plumbing will be installed as well, then they’ll be getting ready for pavement again. We’ll have more from Feik on Let’s Talk Knoxville.
