Fourth of July parades kick off Friday morning, starting in Bussey, at 10, with line up at the South Park ball field between 9 and 9:45. The city will have activities for all ages going on throughout the day at North City Park. Pleasantville also celebrates all day Friday. The parade in Pleasantville begins at 11, with line up starting at 10. Chamber Director Don Dursky says there is a $500 prize for the float with the most votes in the People’s Choice category this year as well.
