The Pella City Council passed an agreement with Iowa Economic Authority and Castle Metal, Inc for the metal manufacturing company to move to Pella. The agreement passed at the meeting Tuesday includes 20% required match of incentives provided by Iowa Economic Authority, totaling in up to $61,000 from the City of Pella if Castle Metal meets the required agreements. Castle Metal is a subsidiary of Kasteel Metal from Holland, and plans to move to Pella to manufacture parts for Lely, Inc. They agreed to make roughly $3,000,000 in improvements to the facility they’ll be moving to at 214 S. Clark Street and they have to provide 26 high-paying full-time equivalent jobs in three years in order to receive the incentives package.
