Pleasantville’s 4th of July celebrations included several contests, including the Firecracker 5K race, which was run on Sunday due to a stormy Saturday morning. Other contests included a pet show, a bags tournament, and for the first time, a People’s Choice Float contest which offered a $500 first place prize for the parade float with the most votes. Chamber Director Don Dursky says the $500 went to the Pleasantville Garden Club for favorite float.
