The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum’s Expand the Dream project is ambitious, and Executive Director Bob Baker says a total of $1.9 million is needed to tear down the old car wash, and build a new three-story building. He says the project is about $700,000 away from that goal, and they are in the process of completing an application for a Vision Iowa grant. Baker says the project meets criteria for the grant based on the size of the community, and Vision Iowa helps non-profit and tourism-based organizations.
