A 2013-14 schedule that saw them take on the likes of the eventual-NCAA Division III women’s basketball champs, Fairleigh-Dickinson, the Central women’s basketball team will hope for a just-as-challenging non-conference slate for this coming season. It’s a time for players to learn what adjustments need to be made before they reach the conference schedule, says Coach Chelsea Petersen, which is important when the league is a difficult one year in and year out. The Dutch won 11 games last year, the most for the program since winning 11 in the 2003-04 season. Central’s women begin their non-conference schedule in November.
