Five times in the last seven weeks rain has caused the track to cancel racing, but with a positive forecast for tonight, there may be some racing. With two weeks until Nationals, expect to see several visitors start to get ready for Southern Iowa Sprint Week. One will get a jump on preparation as 1983 Knoxville Nationals Champion Sammy Swindell announced earlier this week he would race for the next two Saturdays at Knoxville to tune up for Nationals week.
