The Knoxville City Council will meet on today.

They will consider a proposal by the Optimist Club to restore playground equipment from Young’s Park and move it to Auld Park, consider a request to install private parking in the public right-of-way, consider paving contracts, consider a letter of support for a senior housing project, and hear a Mayor’s proclamation declaring Saturday August 9, as Steve Kinser Day. Kinser is a record setting 12 time winner of the Knoxville Nationals.
