The Knoxville Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization is looking to increase participation for the 2014-15 school year.

Volunteers are needed for several upcoming events, including a coordinator for the upcoming Jog-A-Thon, which raises funds for the Knoxville PTO. Last year’s event saw West and Northstar students jog a total of 1300 miles and raise almost $18,000 in pledges.

The PTO is also looking for volunteers to help with Meet Your Teacher night, which will take place on Thursday, August 14th, from 4pm to 6pm.

The Knoxville PTO will hold their first meeting of the school year at Northstar Elementary this evening beginning at 6pm. The meeting is open to the public.

Along with volunteer opportunities, the meeting agenda will also include information on possible classroom mini-grants and discussion regarding Panthers Homecoming shirts.
