A 51 year old Attica area man who went missing on a bike ride early Friday morning was located by area first responders shortly before 11am.

Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt tells KNIA/KRLS News that the man had an accident on the bike, and wound up injured, cold, and disoriented in a ditch in the 2100 block of 160th Avenue. Mercy One Helicopter transported him to Des Moines, where his condition has not been released.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Indiana Township Fire, Knoxville Fire and Rescue, the Knoxville Township Rural Fire Department, the Marion County Engineer’s Office, Marion County Emergency Management, and possibly other agencies.
