It’s a busy time of year for county Park Rangers as preparations for the influx of Labor Day visitors are well underway.

Park Ranger Dave McKinney has been clearing brush at Marion County Park for the upcoming holiday weekend.

According to McKinney, the number of campsites occupied at the park triples during holidays when compared to an average weekend. He expects to be near full capacity with at least 66 spots already reserved and about 30 more to be available on a first come, first served basis.

Roberts Creek and Cordova Park are both fully reserved for this weekend.
