Pella High’s football team made very few mistakes in their 35 – 0 beat down of Washington this past Friday. The errors the Little Dutch made were in the penalty column. The backwards steps didn’t cost Pella all that much against the Demons, and Coach Jay McKinstrey says his team mentally had a very good game. McKinstrey adds that his team does need to clean up some assignment issues they had, but was overall impressed with the effort his team showed. We aren’t the only ones that noticed how strong Pella played; the Little Dutch have climbed in the rankings since last week. They are now ranked second in several different polls across the state of Iowa, with a few even having them at the top spot. Pella takes on number-ten ranked Dallas Center-Grimes at home tomorrow night.
