The purchase of KPAC Risers for Knoxville High School is among the agenda topics the Knoxville School Board will review at their bi monthly meeting Monday.

The choral risers are needed due to an expected increase in the number of vocal students in the future. Approximately 180 vocal students were in 6th to 8th grade last school year, compared to about 85 in grades 9 through 12. Current risers only have a capacity of up to 138 people.

The cost for the risers is estimated at about $14,000. The Knoxville School Board will meet in the Board of Education Meeting Room on Monday beginning at 5:30pm.
