The Pella Public Library is hosting an event this week aimed at educating residents about a new website for Social Security.

The staff is hosting an informational session about the mySocialSecurity site. Representatives from the Ottumwa office of the Social Security Administration will teach residents how to create a mySocialSecurity account and how to use the site to verify earnings and help plan retirement. The event is taking place on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Library Meeting Room.
