Unseasonably cool temperatures have made their way to Marion County, breaking records in the process.

On Thursday, Marion County officially hit a high of 55 degrees, breaking the previous record for coldest high temperature of 57 set in 2007. On Friday, temperatures topped out in the upper 40s for highs, and the previous record was 55 set in 1989. The cool down is expected to be short-lived, as temperatures are expected to warm up into the 60s this weekend and back into low 70s by the middle of next week.
